Where is my REFUND?

You can check the status of your California refund by clicking on the following link:

You can check the status of your federal refund by going to the IRS web site:

http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96596,00.html

Or, you can call the IRS automated response telephone number with a touch tone phone at 1.800.829.4477. The IRS requests you wait four weeks from the acceptance date before calling this number.

In either case you will need to know the following information:

- social security number of taxpayer listed first on the return

- filing status (1=single, 2=joint, 3=married separate, 4=head of household)

- exact amount of refund (in whole dollars)

- approximate date you filed your return
